About Us

Welcome to Closure for Jesus!  We are Seventh-day Adventist Christians, and a self-supporting ministry based in beautiful rural Kentucky.

Kalon Gesellchen was born in North Dakota & raised in the small town of Goodrich, as a fourth generation Seventh-day Adventist. He obtained an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from North Dakota College of Science in Wahpeton, ND in 1983. Kalon later furthered his education at University of Mary in Bismarck, ND when he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in X-Ray Technology in 1997. Kalon rededicated his life to Jesus 2004. Along with his wife, Danna, Kalon attended medical missionary school at Centurion Ministries in Cypress Inn, TN in 2014. Kalon is an elder in the Sev- enth-day Adventist church and has taught Bible studies and natural remedies in small group settings along with his wife in their ministry, Closure for Jesus.
Danna Gesellchen was born at Fort Benning, Georgia and raised in Alabama. She developed an interest in the Seventh-day Adventist faith early in life after becoming friends with the Drs. Thrash and their family. She obtained an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Chattahooche Valley Community College, and an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from New York State University in 1986 and 1990, respectively. Danna joined the Seventh-day Adventist church in 1988 and obtained training in medical missionary work from Uchee Pines Institute, graduating in 1993 from the Lifestyle Counselor program. She subsequently taught in the Lifestyle Educator program for three years. Danna has traveled as a teacher/speaker for Closure for Jesus ministry.

The greatest freedom I have found I have found in You-
Free indeed, no longer bound, free to will and do.
Bowing at the cross, surprised at finding liberty,
I wonder in my repose, Lord, are You, too, free?
I see the work that You still do, in dealing with my sin.
How can You ever be, if I’m not pure within?
In my heart of hearts I know, I see!
I hold the key within my choice to set my Savior free.
Danna Lott,  May 2010
On September 28, 2012, Kalon Gesellchen and I united our lives in service to the Lord.  The Lord gave me a song to sing to him at the wedding, “A song for my beloved.”

  1. Danna, I stopped by your mother and step-father’s home Sabbath to offer them a copy of Forks Over Knives, but was pleasantly surprised to find that you had beat us to it… As I surveyed some of your website, it seems to me that you are RIGHT ON THE TRACK! How little we humans think about anything but our feelings, our comforts, our temporal security. Thank you for what you are doing in the RIGHT direction…
May God continue to richly bless your very special ministry.

  3. Hi dear Danna Gesellchen,
I am so grateful for your wonderful videos on youtube.
May God continue blessing you immeasurably.
Does your ministry offer full time medical missionary training? If it does, what are the qualifications that a foreign student has to meet for admission?

    1. Greetings Brother Leonard,
We are presently in the process of getting established so that we can take students. We hope to be ready by the end of this year or sooner. If you wish to attend school sooner, you may wish to contact other places such as Centurion Bible Health or MEET Ministry, depending on your level of present understanding of the Medical Missionary work.
We rejoice in your interest in equipping yourself to help God’s children!

  4. Dear Danna
I was given your website by a friend of mine and would like to stop by your ministry sometime. My name is Lee Wellard and I’m a SDA herbalist and used to teach physiology and nutrition at Wildwood lifestyle center. I taught one of your workers Debbie when she was single and went to Iron City training and would like to get back in touch with her. I’m very interested in what you are doing and wish there were more people doing it. God richly bless you all richly and let me know if you ever would like to have a herbal seminar up there, would be a good excuse to come and see you all. Grace and peace be unto you. Brother Lee

  5. Hi Danna
I have been visiting your website for a few months now and I have been watching your videos too. Before I started visiting your website, my plan (once I graduated high school) was to join the old order Amish near where I live (in Pennsylvania.) But after watching some of your videos, I have wondered if maybe God is leading me to become Seventh-day Adventist. So I wanted to ask you a few questions about Seventh-day Adventists. Do they believe that Jesus is Lord and savior? Also, do Seventh-day Adventists believe in living a life “separate” from the world, and not conforming to the ways of the world? God bless you 🙂

  6. Hi Danna, I am a young man looking for an outpost center to continue my training to go overseas, but I would love to help with launching a ministry while learning! I’ve got about a year and a half agriculture experience, as well as some other practical skills (though still limited). I love hard work, too. Give it a prayer and let me know if you are interested!

  7. Hi, I was wondering if you have started to teach the Herbal Surgeon courses on-line as yet as I am so very much interested in becoming a student, pls can you let me know. Thank you very much

    1. We don’t teach herbal surgery. While we do know that there are salves that can be used for this, it is too great a risk and liability to do so. You may wish to consult Mamon Wilson. While he no longer does this either, perhaps he could direct you to someone who could help you. Thank you for your interest in natural health!

  8. Danna, this is just a hello from one of your old guitar students (I still play & sing). It is good to see you are well and happy. My best to you and your family. God bless you all.

  9. Dear Danna,
I am so glad to have found your website earlier this month. I am very encouraged. I am a conservative Seventh-day Adventist and I am seeking to live the kind of life that you are encouraging here. It is such a blessing to see someone speaking up about our need to become serious, to come into obedience to God’s ways, and to earnestly get ready for the soon Second Coming of Christ. So many of us have become so entwined in worldly ways that we cannot see our way beyond them, to what the Lord wants us to be. Thank you for being a voice for the old paths, that will be such a blessing to us if we will walk in them. Please feel free to write to me. I hope that some day we can meet your family. I am a homeschooling mother of three and I am a graduate of Hartland. We live in West Virginia. May God bless you.
