Mission

Mission

According to the Bible, there are no more time prophecies remaining to be fulfilled before Jesus comes.  So then, why hasn’t He come? What’s the holdup? And is there anything we can do about it?  These and many other questions are what we seek to answer in our work and writings.   Caleb and Joshua had faith that God was well able to take the children of Israel into the promised land and encouraged their brethren to move forward.  We believe the same now!  Not only this, we also believe that Jesus longs to take us into the Heavenly Canaan, and is grieved at this delay and our indifference to His longings.  Love, it seems, it a far greater test than any time prophecy!

Our ministry could aptly be called, “The Big Picture”.  But we have chosen the name Closure for Jesus because  we are focused on bringing closure to Jesus in His labors, and on putting an end to all the misery we see all around us day by day.  After perusing this site, we hope you will see that the greatest scene of misery is in the heart of our Redeemer.  He is longing to come to claim His people as His own, but there is a problem; a delay.  Our goal is to explain the cause of the delay in the second coming of our Lord. We will also endeavor to specifically explain those things for which we  believe Jesus needs closure; things that are perpetuating the delay in His return.

In order for His people to properly cooperate with Him, we must understand His plan.  We must not only see into His heart, but we must go to His Word to find out how to cooperate with Him in His labors to bring sin to an end.  This is the reason we emphasize country living.  We believe it is easier to hear that “still, small voice” in the quiet of nature.

“Again and again the Lord has instructed that our people are to take their families away from the cities, into the country, where they can raise their own provisions; for in the future the problem of buying and selling will be a very serious one. We should now begin to heed the instruction given us over and over again: Get out of the cities into rural districts, where the houses are not crowded closely together, and where you will be free from the interference of enemies.”  Adventist Home, page 141

We believe this counsel to be imperative today.  We also are aware that many of God’s people yet live in the cities, and possess no knowledge of how to live in the country.  For this cause, we offer instruction in basic country living skills.  One aspect we are seeking to establish in order to not only support our work, but provide a place of teaching, is a market garden.

“God’s people are to be genuine medical missionaries. They are to learn to minister to the needs of soul and body. They should know how to give the simple treatments that do so much to relieve pain and remove disease. They should be familiar with the principles of health reform, that they may show others how, by right habits of eating, drinking, and dressing, disease may be prevented and health regained. A demonstration of the value of the principles of health reform will do much toward removing prejudice against our evangelical work. The Great Physician, the originator of medical missionary work, will bless every one who will go forward humbly and trustfully, seeking to impart the truth for this time.”  Welfare Ministry, page 127

We believe all of God’s children should understand how to do basic natural remedies, and include this in our teaching as well.  Once we are more established, we will also offer cleansing programs for those who wish to detox their bodies.

Perhaps now you can see why I say our ministry could be called, “The Big Picture”.  Sometimes it takes a deliberate choice to back up and focus on the big picture to regain one’s bearings.  We believe many of God’s people have lost sight of what it means to be a Seventh-day Adventist Christian in these closing scenes of earth’s history.  People without sight cannot follow their leader, and it is thus that we seek to provide a place of discovery and a place of recovery.

And so now, in the end of the world, we seek, out of hearts full of gratitude and love, to hasten the day of the return of our beloved Saviour. (2 Peter 3:12)  We seek to arouse people everywhere to a new and deeper, correct experience with Him.  We would wipe away from His noble brow all the disappointment, grief, exile, and delay which He has borne.  The great controversy may come to a close with our earnest and committed cooperation, once and for all.  A power from above and a new spirit willing to do and to dare is the call of these critical hours–we pursue closure for Jesus’ sake!  AMEN!!!!  (Click Here for a song about His soon return: Come quickly, Lord Jesus!)

…hastening the day!

In addition to our web page and farm, we accept appointments for speaking engagements wherever we have opportunity, in order to share the joy of seeking Closure for Jesus .

Just wanted to say I enjoyed the childrens story and song today at Grove. I’m sure God is using you to draw hearts nearer to him. Why else would he lead you away from sweet home Alabama .
