  1. I enjoyed Norman’s presentation. It caused me to bring some things to remembrance that improved my Spiritual progress.
We can not of ourselves come to unreservedly love God or our fellow man. Our human effort is useless and can only fail. It’s “Not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord”. The Etheopian can not change his color, the Leopard his spots and neither can we who are accustomed to sin. It’s only by His Spirit do we have any hope of overcoming. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.2Cor 3:18. Only the overcomers does He grant to sit with him in His throne. Rev 3:21. That’s what the oil is all about. The virgins that had oil in their lamps were overcoming the inherited and cultivated sins; the impulses and habits of the flesh. The ones that had no oil were doing the works of outward ministry by doing many wonderful works in His name, but they were not availing themselves of the power offered by the Holy Spirit to overcome. They thought that showing up on Sabbath, Paying a faithful tithe, being vegetarian and being polite was holiness.
“To as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God” Jn 1:12.
    In His Holy Name,

  2. Thank you Danna, for your commitment to the Gospel mission.
Norman did make reference to the One Project that is making it’s way around the world. I am grateful for their mission, as the centrality of Christ in the message and our lives must be the catalyst from which all our commitment and endeavors in the success of overcoming and bringing Light to the lost springs from.
    Christ In us.
Jesus said “I have many things to tell you, but you are not yet ready to bear them”.
Jesus is the cornerstone of the foundation. Whether one is new to the Gospel message, or was once a follower and drifted away, the only way to be filled with the Spirit is through Him. We start at square One and build our understanding upon Him. When the Seed is planted we grow in stages and at a pace that He brings us along at; “First the blade, then the ear…” To not be anchored into the love of Christ first and to pile on an abundance of rules and doctrine makes for a distressful adherence of religion. It is the love of Christ which motivates us to seek deeper truth, and we, of ourselves, are incapable of loving God, His ways, or our fellow man. It is a gift that is bestowed upon us through an experience we have through Him. He opens our eyes to greater understanding. Everything in it’s time.
Hard criticisms and impatience towards those who do not see things as we see them, or who have not gathered certain doctrinal positions that we have come to serves to inhibit their growth and discourage them from seeking to follow rather than bringing them into oneness in the body of Christ.
Project One is a blessed and necessary ministry that is focused on gaining hearts to realize and stand upon the love of God in Christ Jesus. If ones Christianity is built on anything less than that it will not be what the Gospel offers; “Christ in you, the hope of glory”. That’s God’s Spirit in you. Without that we have nothing to offer anyone else.
Paul knew where he had to direct his focus in the race for “the flesh lusteth against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh” in the battle.
“The love of Christ,” said Paul, “constraineth us.” 2 Corinthians 5:14. This was the actuating principle of his conduct; it was his motive power. If ever his ardor in the path of duty flagged for a moment, one glance at the cross caused him to gird up anew the loins of his mind and press forward in the way of self-denial. In his labors for his brethren he relied much upon the manifestation of infinite love in the sacrifice of Christ, with its subduing, constraining power. MOH pg. 500.
    Blessings to you Sister Danna,
    In His Holy Name.

    1. Having been unfamiliar with the One Project, per se, I investigated it after this comment and Bro. McNulty’s presentation. Actually, I find it interesting to know there is a label to the evangelical, laid back approach I find invading Adventism as God gave it!
