The Only Wounds in Heaven

The Only Wounds in Heaven

Have you ever wondered what the motivation will be that will somehow catapult you over the line from sin and failure to obedience and success in the Christian life?   Have you ever wondered if there will ever be a time when you will finally have that “staying power” in your walk.  The Bible has a promise found in Zechariah 12:10 that says that God will give us the true motive.  “And I will pour upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications; and they shall look upon Me Whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.”    Herein lies the true motive to victory.  The power, of course, is also found in the promises of God.  The motive is enveloped in this promise in Zechariah.  When we truly see what our sin does to Jesus, how it hurts and grieves Him, we will allow the Lord to cleanse us.   That is what the song I am sharing below is all about.
One day I was listening to a sermon by my friend, Pastor Dennis Miller, Jr, on his web page,  In the sermon, Pastor Dennis stated that,  ‘…the only wounds in heaven will be on the Lord!’  That statement so inspired me that I ran for my guitar and in less than two days, this song was completely done.  The song tells God’s experience with His wayward children since creation to now and on into the future.  Please listen carefully, prayerfully, to this message and ask the Lord to fulfill Zechariah 12:10 in your life as you do.
The Lord bless each of you!
Considering Him,

  1. I am enjoying your Advent seiers Art, including the music. Thank you for sharing. May the joy of the Lord always be yours and your family’s and all our reader’s and my family’s too. No matter what the circumstance, if we hope in Him we will ultimately not be disappointed, because He has brought joy to us with salvation not only from sin, but also with the knowledge that He knowingly intercedes for us daily and is with us in our struggles and difficulties Emmanuel- God with us. May we love as He loves us.
