What About Cheese?

Thinking back on my journey towards becoming vegan, I have to honestly say that leaving cheese behind was my biggest challenge.  Though I willingly gave it up, it was not something I looked forward to doing without.  I have since found many wonderful recipes for vegan cheese, so I certainly don’t feel deprived–oh, no!  Especially not when I think of all the health hazards that yummie yellow slab brought with it.  Listen to my friend, Debbie Brummel and you’ll see what I mean.

  1. Praise the Lord for the victory over the cheese. I thought there is no way I could give up cheese. And now the thought of even touching it sends chills up my spine. Thank you Jesus. And Thank you Closure for Jesus for this simple presentation to help others see that our body is a temple and that cheese is not the best food.

  2. Presenting this in front of a totally unaware non-adventist and possibly sceptic audience poses a problem due to lack of information as to the resources for the stats and figures. In addition, there’s need for more detailed explanations in many cases so a layman can understand the ‘whys’ and ‘hows’. Just reading the words off the slides as she does isn’t sufficiently convincing. Not trying to be offensive, but if the lacking info is because of the shortness of time, then less personal comments in-between and no preaching at the end, would give more time for what seems missing in a presentation entitled ‘What about cheese?”. Just my take on this presentation. By the way I did believe from long before in the heart of the message – I don’t eat cheese. It’s poison.
